ExecuJet grows Asia Pacific Aircraft Fleet
Pre-owned Sales up in Region
ExecuJet Asia Pacific, a full service business aviation entity, operates five business jets under full management contracts – from bases in Singapore, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. In addition, it has exclusive marketing rights to a further two business jets based in Darwin and Melbourne. Five of these are long range jets, shortly to be joined by a sixth – an ultra long-range Global Express XRS due to deliver in November 2009 to be based in Sydney.
ExecuJet Asia Pacific’s aircraft charter fleet is the largest and most modern heavy jet fleet in the region. The line up includes: a Learjet 45, based in Sydney; a Learjet 60XR based in Brisbane; a Dassault Falcon 900C, based in Darwin; a Gulfstream GV-SP and Global Express based in Melbourne; a Global 5000 in Brisbane and another Global Express, based in Melbourne. The new Global XRS will also be available for third party charter.
“The Asian market experienced a phenomenal growth in 2007 which steadied out a little in 2008. The slowdown and fall in charter volumes started earlier in Australia in parallel with the US markets but has steadily regained some strength in the first six months of 2009. Whilst the recovery was slight in the first half of 2009, Australia has remained a solid market for ExecuJet – buoyed by the need for long range, larger jets, to cover such a large geographic region. Corporate use has historically been especially buoyant out of the ExecuJet facility in Sydney as a gateway airport to Australia. Our newly opened all purpose facility at Brisbane International Airport, incorporating an executive lounge, hangarage and engineering capability, has been well received and is the home to both the new Global 5000 and Learjet 60XR.
“We are pleased we made the investment last year as ExecuJet is really starting to reap rewards from investing in the growing market in Asia Pacific” says Andrew Hoy, Managing Director of ExecuJet Aircraft Trading. Andrew is attending Asian Aerospace 09 in Hong Kong during 7th-10th September and will be talking at the Asian Business Aviation Conference about the Shape of Sales.
ExecuJet grows pre-owned aircraft business
“Over the past year, ExecuJet has achieved considerable success in building up its own pre-owned aircraft sales and acquisitions division, which continues to grow with international recognition as a source for quality pre-owned aircraft,” added Andrew. “The current portfolio totals almost 30 aircraft on exclusive mandate and with our sales office in Beijing running at full power we are close to securing our first transaction into China, an exciting milestone for our business”.
