ExecuJet Australia positions itself as the number one full service total solution company in the region and will be represented at the upcoming AVALON 2009 airshow from 10-15 March in Melbourne, Australia at the Bombardier Chalet No. N17.
The Melbourne and Brisbane facilities complement the heavy maintenance base in Sydney. ExecuJet Australia’s maintenance facility in Sydney holds an Australian CASA Certificate of Approval and a USA FAA 145 Certificate, which allows the company to work on a wide selection of business jets, turboprop and light aircraft. The facility is the only regional authorised warranty repair facility for Bombardier and Gulfstream business jets and also provides maintenance support for Boeing Business Jet aircraft in the region.
Both new facilities in Melbourne and Brisbane offer not only maintenance but also aircraft management and charter services. Amongst the aircraft available for charter is the first new Global 5000 in Australia as well as the first new Learjet 60XR, the latter type will be on the Bombardier static at the AVALON airshow. A further new Global XRS is scheduled to come under ExecuJet Management in mid 2009. “As a regional representative for the Bombardier Business Aircraft family we know the advantages of the Global 5000 and Global XRS and we are fortunate to be able to offer it to our Charter Clients” says Alastair Creighton-Jones, Managing Director ExecuJet Asia Pacific.
"As market leaders our sales numbers in new and pre-owned aircraft in the Asia Pacific Region are actually better than expected" says Andrew Hoy, Executive Director Group Sales. “Due to ExecuJet’s long-standing relationship with Bombardier we have been able to secure the majority market share in wide-body aircraft for several years. We are historically strong in selling wide-body aircraft but we feel that there is an increase of interest in narrow-bodies such as the next generation Learjets. Especially the Lear 85 has proven to be attractive to our customers with its ability to fly up to 3000 nm – carrying 6 passengers from Perth to Sydney" Andrew Hoy explains.
The opening of the new facilities in Australia is a further step towards ExecuJet’s Asian expansion plan. Earlier this year the company had announced the opening of a hangar facility in Singapore as well as the joint venture operation with Hawker Pacific of the Skypark FBO Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. Currently Skypark FBO Malaysia offers full handling facilities plus VIP lounge and fuel provision. Future plans call for each joint venture partner to independently operate Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) hangars specialising in their respective products.
