ExecuJet & Bombardier’s Jets & Jewels Event Shines Again

The second international Jets & Jewels celebration hosted by ExecuJet South Africa and Bombardier Business Aircraft was held at Lanseria International Airport on 9 May 2009.

 Silk Dancer Jets & Jewels

For this event, ExecuJet and Bombardier formed an association with local media and events partner, Live Out Loud, who brought together an exclusive collection of the world’s top luxury products and services. The other main sponsor to the event was specialist banking group, Investec. As in previous years at venues such as Santa Barbara, California, Palm Beach, Florida, Texas and the first international event in Johannesburg in 2007, the private jet hangar was transformed into an elegant function venue with white draped walls, lounge seating from Bakos Brothers, and a fashion ramp, lighting and sound from Multi Media Event Staging.

Over 450 guests were welcomed to ExecuJet’s premises before being escorted to the lavishly decorated hangar to find a Bombardier Challenger 605 on display. Showcased outside were two Learjet 45 business aircraft and a Global Express, accompanied by two Maseratis.
Bejewelled dancers in black cat suits stood on platforms showcasing watches, diamonds and other gems from World’s Finest Watches & Jewellery. The special guests and celebrities were captivated by the exquisite aerial silk acrobat display, followed by models arriving in a Challenger before showcasing Hugo Boss, Armani and Lacoste.
The prize draw allowed a select few to win remarkable gifts  such as a 1 carat diamond from World’s Finest Watches and Jewellery, a weekend at Legends Golf Course, a trip to Lion Sands Private Game Reserve, a bottle of Diamant Classique containing a ¼ carat diamond, and “his and hers” perfume from Amouage.

ExecuJet South Africa launched their new JustFly Programme on the evening, which entails an advance payment for a set number of flying hours at a discounted rate.
“The objective of this event was to present an unforgettable experience as well as to entertain current clients and future prospects. Jets & Jewels highlights our aircraft alongside some of the world’s most sought after brands, providing our collective clientele the opportunity to experience some of the world’s most refined products in a very sophisticated setting.” said Ettore Poggi, Managing Director, ExecuJet South Africa.
The Bombardier Jets & Jewels events originated in Santa Barbara, California, USA, as a venue for luxury brand manufacturers, service providers and retailers to host and entertain their loyal customers, while offering them the opportunity to experience other exclusive products in an intimate setting.
